Lisa's passion for creating edible works of art came at a young age during school cake walks. "It was the most exciting time of the year for me! This was something I thought about and took much time designing and executing...making it more challenging each year, pushing my limits."
Culinary was the obvious direction for the future and baking classes grabbed her full attention. She gained experience through her Fanshawe College Externship at a local wedding cake shop, learning the foundations of cake artistry. Lisa then headed to Muskoka working at resorts as a Pastry Chef and as a Cake Artist at a cupcake/cake shop. In amoungst working she took a 3 week intensive cake course in Toronto at McCalls Cake School. Thereafter opening a home based cake business, before life brought her back to her hometown of London where she has since worked at a variety of bakeries gaining lifelong knowledge.
She now runs Sunshine Cake Studio out of her certified bakery home studio in Bryanston, Ontario.
Lisa has learned that knowledge is power and by using what she has learned combined with her natural born skills anything is possible.
